Birth By Brit
Birth Doula & Lactation Counselor

What is a Doula?
Think of a doula as your birth-day bestie: part cheerleader, part guide, part calm-in-the-chaos. I’m not a doctor or midwife (no catching babies here!), but I’m trained to support you emotionally, physically, and informationally through pregnancy, birth, and those early postpartum days.
Whether you're birthing in a hospital, at home, or somewhere in between; I’m here to walk beside you with support, helpful tips, and maybe a snack or two.
Need help breathing through contractions?
I’ve got you.
Wondering if what you’re feeling is normal?
Let’s talk it out.
Just want someone to tell you you’re doing amazing? Always.
A doula is here to support your choices — not make them for you.
I help you tune into your instincts, ask the right questions, and feel truly held during one of life’s biggest transformations.
About Me

Hi, I’m Britney! I'm a birth-loving, coffee-sipping, baby-snuggling doula and lactation counselor with over 8 years of experience as an OB nurse from Lakewood, California.
My journey into birth work didn’t just start with my career; it also started in my own journey. After walking the long road through infertility, navigating the system as an LGBTQIA female, IVF two times, and the ups and downs of breastfeeding and exclusively pumping for my two little ones, I realized that birth and feeding support isn’t just helpful it’s life-changing. And I wanted to be that person for someone else.
Today, I bring both clinical and personal experience and compassion into every room (and Zoom!). I’m married to my incredible wife, and together we’re raising two tiny humans who remind me daily why this work matters.
I believe every woman and birthing person deserves to feel informed, respected, and deeply supported. I’m here to listen, guide, nurture, and cheer you on while helping you advocate for what you need most.
Whether you’re prepping for birth, navigating feeding, or figuring it all out one day at a time; I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s make your story one of strength, softness, and support.

About My Teammate
Jane
My passion for birth work began long before I knew what a doula was. I’ve always been drawn to mothers and deeply curious about pregnancy, how it transforms the body, mind, and spirit. I grew up knowing my mother’s birth stories by heart, and even then I sensed that she deserved more compassionate care and stronger advocacy.
As a doula, my role is to support you in connecting with your own innate strength, intuition, and wisdom so you can make informed choices for yourself and your baby.
Every mother deserves to be seen, heard, and supported without judgement. My goal is to hold space for you, steadily and compassionately, so you can birth and parent from a place of confidence, peace, and love.
